Hello. I am Rugayya Gulverdiyeva. I am a volunteer of the Torre dei Giovani (TdG) association. Firstly, i would like talk about our project.

The name of project is “DO ESC”.  “DO ESC” is the European Solidarity Corps Volunteering Project of “Torre dei Giovani” NGO. Mainly, the topics of the project are: citizenship and democratic participation, community development, education and training. The project focuses on the education and inclusion of youth with few opportunities, offering them support.  TdG is a voluntary association composed mostly of young people living in Naples and nearby Torre del Greco.

We, as volunteers of the association, inform young people and students in Torre del Greco about ESC, Erasmus+, ANG and also about our project and our own experiences. Twice a week we meet with young people in schools in the city and give them information and answer their questions. Last week we met with young people. We distribute flyers to provide more information. The flyer mainly includes websites and resources that provide extensive information about ESC, as well as extensive information about our own association. We conduct surveys to attract the attention of young people. In the survey, we specifically ask questions about ESC, volunteering, Erasmus+ and its fields. After the survey, our association presents them with T-shirts with logos and other gifts. We interview them, make podcasts and videos, take pictures and share them on social networks to encourage even more young people.

As a result of these activities, we found that many young people have very little information about Erasmus. Of course, the main goal here is to encourage them. As an ESC member and a volunteer in Europe, I would say that it changed my life. I feel very lucky and blessed to have embarked on this adventure. And I think it will be very useful for my future life. And I would love to encourage young people to volunteer wherever they are.
